Heirloom Plum Cake

  1. preheat oven to 325u0b0F. butter and flour a tube or bundt pan.
  2. chop plums coarsley, peel, core and shred the apples.
  3. combine flour, baking soda, and spices. beat granulated sugar, oil and eggs in a lrge bowl with an electric mixer until smooth. beat in the flour mixture and beat until combined. add the plums, apples and walnuts and beat on low until combined.
  4. spoon into prepared pan and bake about 1 1/2 hours. cool in pan 15 minutes then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely. dust with sugar.
