New Orleans Chocolate Pie

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine chocolate wafer crumbs and 4 Tbsp butter in a medium bowl and mix well. Press into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate.
  3. Melt chocolate chips and remaining butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat.
  4. Add brown sugar, milk, coffee granules, and rum to chocolate mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir eggs and flour into the chocolate mixture. Fold in the walnuts. Spoon into pie shell.
  6. Bake until pie is set, about 20 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes before serving. Serve with ice cream, if desired.
