Fudge

  1. COMBINE butter, evaporated milk, sugar, and salt in medium, heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil
  2. over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from
  3. heat.
  4. STIR in marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, and vanilla. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until
  5. marshmallows are melted. Pour into a foil-lined 8-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with
  6. additional nuts if desired. Chill until firm in refrigerator.
  7. VARIATIONS:
  8. MILK CHOCOLATE FUDGE: Substitute 2 cups (11 1/2 oz pkg) milk chocolate chips
  9. BUTTERSCOTCH FUDGE: Substitute 2 cups (12 oz package) butterscotch morsels
  10. MINT-CHOCOLATE FUDGE: Substitute 1 1/2 cups (10 oz pkg) mint chocolate morsels
  11. I also will double the recipe and use a larger rectangular pan.
