Gourmet Pork Chops
- 6 (3/4-inch) chops
- 2 Tbsp. fat
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 c. cooked wild rice
- 1/3 c. 20% cream or sour cream
- 1 (8 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- Cook rice according to package directions.
- Brown chops in fat over medium
- heat at 325u0b0.
- Season with 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.
- Remove
- chops
- and
- saute
- mushrooms,
- celery and onions in butter
- over
- medium heat at 250u0b0 until tender.
- Add bouillon cubes; crush
- and stir to dissolve.
- Add cooked rice, cream and remaining
- 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Place rice mixture in 11 x 7-inch baking
- dish, arranging chops on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
