Grandma'S Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Heat milk until warm in a saucepan. Add the yeast and stir. Allow yeast to dissolve and activate, approximately 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar. Add eggs, butter, and milk mixture. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes.
  3. Place dough in a large, clean bowl. Cover with a towel and proof dough for 1 hour.
  4. Punch dough down. Roll dough (on a floured surface) into a rectangle that has a width of 18''. (it will be approximately 18" x 22")
  5. Spread butter on dough, then cinnamon, then sugar. Roll dough lengthwise (roll should be approx. 22" long). Cut into 1 1/4-inch strips.
  6. Butter 13x9 casserole dish. Place rolls in dish so that they are touching. Cover and proof for 30 minutes.
  7. Cook for 25-30 minutes at 350 F.
