Beatrice'S Molasses Ginger Cookies
- 3/4 cup Butter
- 3/4 cup Crisco
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Molasses
- 4 cups Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking soda
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Ginger
- 2 teaspoons Cloves
- 1/2 cup Sugar, extra
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Cream butter (and Crisco); add sugar and continue beating.
- Add eggs and molasses. Beat to combine.
- Add all dry ingredients and beat until well combined and smooth.
- Roll dough into 1" balls and roll in extra sugar to coat.
- Place on lightly greased sheet pan, allowing space between as they spread slightly.
- Bake 9-10 minutes or until your desired state of crispness.
- Cool on pan until you can easily lift them to racks to cool thoroughly.
