Maple Cookies
- 3 cups of Flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup vegitable shortening
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon maple
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 package white chocolate chips
- *Hardware*
- 1 or 2 cookie sheets
- 1 bowl for dry ingredients
- 1 bowl for wet ingredients
- *Preheat* oven to 350
- *Bowl 1*
- Sift together flower and baking soda.
- *Bowl 2*
- Beat together shortening and butter.
- Gradually cream in brown sugar until thoroughly combined.
- Mix in eggs one at a time.
- Add maple and vanilla.
- Add 1/3 of Bowl 1 to Bowl 2 and mix until combined
- Repeat for another 1/3
- Repeat for final 1/3
- Add white chocolate chips to cookie dough.
- Spoon balls onto cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown
- Let cool and add frosting if desired.
