Decadent Chocolate Cake With Raspberry Sauce
- 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- Heat oven to 325u0b0.
- Grease spring-form pan.
- Heat 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup margarine in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat until chips are melted; cool 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour until smooth.
- Stir in egg yolks until well blended.
- Beat egg whites in large bowl on high speed until foamy.
- Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, until soft peaks form.
- Fold chocolate mixture into egg whites; spread in pan.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. The top will appear dry and cracked, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes.
- Run knife along sides of cake to loosen; remove from pan.
- Invert onto wire rack.
- Place on serving plate.
