Cheeseburg Chowder
- 1 1/2 lb ground hamburg & pork, 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 clelery stalk, chopped,
- 1 large clove of garlic, chopped
- mushrooms (optional)
- 3 average potatoes, peeled and diced,
- 2 13 oz cans of beef broth
- 1 13 oz can of chicken broth
- 1 can cheddar chesse soup
- 1/2 pint of 1/2 & 1/2 or cream,
- 1 pkg of cheddar cheese,
- Spices (basil, parsley, thyme, bay leaf),
- 2 tablespoons butter & flour
- Instant potatoes (for thickening, optional)
- Saute onion, celery and carrots in butter until soft. Add mushrooms & beef; add garlic. Add flour and cook for a minute or two. Add ckn & beef broth, and spices. While heating, peel and dice potatoes. Add to soup, cook until tender. Add cheddar cheese soup and cheese; add cream. Once heated and chesse is melted, add instant potatoes to thicken if it is not thick enouth for you. This should be creamy.
