Better Than Sex Cake
- Chocolate Cake
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0 F. Butter an 8-inch round pan, line the pan bottom with parchment (or waxed paper) cut to fit and then butter the parchment.
- Cream 1/2-cup butter or margarine, softened butter and 2 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add 2 eggs slowly & 1 tsp. vanilla beat well.
- Sift dry ingredients together 1/2-cup cocoa and 2 cups flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda Add Dry ingredients alternately with 1 cup hot water on low speed Pour batter into prepared pan Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Let cool & remove from pan
- Brownie recipe
- Heat the oven to 350u0b0F. Butter an 8-inch square pan, line the pan bottom with parchment (or waxed paper), and then butter the parchment. In a double boiler Melt Together 1/2 cup unsalted butter and 1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate Stir into the melted chocolate mixture 1-1/2 cups sugar 1/4 tsp. salt salt, 2 tsp. vanilla extract Mix in the 2 large eggs, at room temperature one at a time, stirring each time until blended. Add 1-cup flour and 2 Tbs. cocoa beat until incorporated and the mixture is smooth about 2 minutes. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean, with a few moist crumbs clinging to it, 35 to 45 min. Now it is time to let the chocolate cake & baked brownie cool.
- When you are ready to assemble the cooled cake prepare.
- Caramel Sauce
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan combine 1/2 Cup of Brown sugar with 2 tablespoons water 2 tablespoons Butter and bring to a boil, stirring often.
- Cook, stirring occasionally until dark smooth syrup is achieved
- 7- 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Carefully stir in 1/4-cup cream and return sauce to high heat. Boil, stirring often when smooth remove & set aside.
- Chocolate ganache
- Place 2 cups Heavy cream in a double boiler over high heat when the cream is very hot add 2 cups melted, chopped chocolate Stir chocolate and cream until smooth & shinny. Let Set aside until thick like iceing 20 - 30 min stir before using .
- Level top of chocolate cake with your knife to even
- Cut your chocolate cake in two horizontal layers with a sharp serrated knife.
- Level top of brownie with your knife to even this will be your middle layer.
- Now layer cake next layer caramel net layer brownie next layer ganache next layer cake let set in the fridge for 30 min. useing a spatula Ice entire cake With remaining ganache chill for 1 hour & serve .each slice can be topped with a piece of chocolate fudge or a decadent swirl of chocolate mousse
