Cheesy Cauliflower

  1. REMOVE OUTER LEAVES AND STALKS FROM CAULIFLOWER. SEPARATE INTO FLOWERETS.
  2. STEAM CAULIFLOWER IN STEAMER OR BOIL LIGHT AND STRAIN WATER.
  3. HEAT OLIVE OIL IN SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT.
  4. ADD SLICED ONION AND COOK, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY, UNTIL ONION IS TENDER AND LIGHTLY BROWNED. ADD SALT PEPPER ADN BREAD CRUMBS.
  5. REMOVE FROM HEAT.
  6. PLACE COOED CAULIFLOWER IN A SHALLOW, BUTTERED BAKING DISH. TOP WITH HOT ONION MIXTURE. SPRINKLE WITH GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE.
  7. PLACE ON RACK ABOUT 4 INCHES FROM BROILER AND BROIL UNTIL CHEESE MELTS AND BROWNS LIGHTLY ON TOP.
  8. SERVE WITH MAIN COURSE.
