Refrigerator Rolls

  1. Preparation: 40 minutes (plus 2 hours rising time)
  2. Baking: 15 minutes Freeze: Yes
  3. Bake at 425u0b0 for 15 minutes.
  4. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Let sit 10 minutes until frothy.
  5. Add shortening, sugar, salt, and potatoes to scalded milk.
  6. When cold, add yeast dissolved in water.
  7. Mix thoroughly and add eggs.
  8. Stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough. Knead well on a lightly floured surface. Place in large bowl, rub shortening over dough, and refrigerate.
  9. Before baking, let rise for 2 hours. Shape into desired size and bake.
  10. This recipe will keep for a week but is best on the second or third day.
