Strawberry Lemonade Krispie Treats

• First Layer:
• 3 T butter
• 1- 8 oz (snack size) package pink lemonade flavored marshmallows or
• 1-10 oz package strawberry flavored marshmallows
• 6 cups rice krispies cereal
• 1/2 oz package freeze-dried strawberries,
• lightly crushed
• Second Layer:
• 3 T butter
• 1- 10 oz package regular flavored marshmallows
• 2 T vanilla custard powder (Birds) or
• 2 T instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
• 6 cups rice krispies cereal
• Third Layer:
• 3 T butter
• 1- 8 oz (snack size) package pink lemonade flavored marshmallows or
• 1-10 oz package strawberry flavored marshmallows
• 6 cups rice krispies cereal
• 1/2 oz package freeze-dried strawberries
• lightly crushed

1. Directions for First Layer~
2. Lightly butter 2- 8 x 8 inch square pans with 1 T softened butter
3. Over medium-low heat
4. Melt 3 T butter in a large saucepan
5. Add pink lemonade flavored marshmallows or
6. Strawberry flavored marshmallows
7. Stir until marshmallows are melted and
8. Mixture is smooth
9. Remove from heat
10. Add cereal
11. Stir until cereal is evenly coated
12. Fold in freeze dried strawberries
13. Divide mixture between buttered pans.
14. Directions for Second Layer~
15. Over medium-low heat
16. Melt 3 T butter in a large saucepan
17. Add regular flavored marshmallows
18. Stir until marshmallows are melted
19. Stir in vanilla custard powder or
20. vanilla instant pudding and pie filling
21. Stir until mixture is smooth
22. Remove from heat
23. Add cereal
24. Stir until cereal is evenly coated
25. Divide mixture between pans,
26. Lightly pressing into first layer.
27. Directions for Third Layer~
28. Over medium-low heat
29. Melt 3 T butter in a large saucepan
30. Add pink lemonade flavored marshmallows or
31. strawberry flavored marshmallows
32. Stir until marshmallows are melted and
33. Mixture is smooth
34. Remove from heat
35. Add cereal
36. Stir until cereal is evenly coated
37. Fold in freeze dried strawberries
38. Divide mixture between pans
39. Lightly pressing into second layer.
40. Carefully turn pans upside down on separate sheets of saran wrap
41. Wrap each square separately in saran wrap
42. Store in the refrigerator until ready to cut into squares
