Palestinan Stuffed Squash+ Grape Leaves

  1. 1) Take chicken and rub 1 cup of lemon juice onto the skin.
  2. 2) place the chicken at the bottom of the pot.
  3. 3) cut carrots length wise and layer into pan in between chicken and set the pot aside.
  4. 4) Take your soaked bulgur and add to it, the died tomatoes, onions, salt, pepper, cumin and cordainer to taste.This will be the mix used to stuff both the grape leaves and mexican squash.
  5. 5)Take your mexican squash and cork out the inside of it .
  6. 6) take the mix of bulgur and began to hand stuff the squash. Once done add to the chicken and carrots in the pot layering them in a circle.
  7. 7) take one grape leave and cut in half and remove the vein.
  8. 8) Take one half and position it length wise, add bulgur mix and roll tight. Repeat with half of grape leaves in Jar.
  9. 9)Take the stuffed grape leaves an d fill in the circle made with squash.
  10. 10) put pot on medium heat and add tomatoe sauce till it covers the contents in the pan completely.
  11. 11) Put a small plate inthe pot over food to apply presure during ooking.
  12. 12) cook for 2-3 hours, or until tomatoe sauce is dry and chicken is cooked !
  13. Voila ! A delicious meal , thats finger licking good. Serve with warm pita bread, hummus, cucumber and yogurt salad.
