D'Amico & Sons Snickerdoodles
- 9 tbsp. (1 stick plus 1 tbsp.) butter, room temperature
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 2/3 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- Cinnamon Sugar:
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter and the 3/4 cup sugar together in a mixing bowl until combined. Stir together eggs and salt, and add to butter mixture, mixing until combined. Scrape bowl. Stir together salt, flour, cream of tartar and baking soda and add to butter-egg mixture, mixing until combined. Scrape bowl.
- Scoop cookies to desired size. Roll in cinnamon/sugar.
- Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet, space 2 inches apart. Press down slightly (to 1/4 inch thick).
- Bake until cookies are golden at edges, about 15 to 18 minutes.
