3-Ingredient Homemade Fortune Cookies
- 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted, plus more for tin
- 12 fresh wonton wrappers
- 12 small strips of paper with handwritten fortunes
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- A 12-cup muffin tin
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease muffin tin with butter.
- Working with one wonton wrapper at a time, place one folded fortune in the center of the wrapper. Dip your fingers into a small bowl of cool water and lightly wet all four edges of the wrapper. Fold in half, gently pressing to seal the edges.
- Fold ends of wrapper toward each other to create the shape of a traditional fortune cookie.
- Working quickly with a pastry brush, generously brush each wonton wrapper with butter on all sides. Sprinkle each with 1/2 tsp. sugar, then place in a prepared muffin cup. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
- Bake cookies, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp, 10-12 minutes. Let cookies cool slightly in tin, then carefully transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
