Deep Fried Honey Mustard Sesame Chicken Bites
- 5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast
- 18 oz honey mustard (your favorite brand)
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 pkg onion ring batter (your favorite brand)
- 3 1/2 - 4 cups peanut oil for deep-frying
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- Sauce for Sesame Chicken:
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/8 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 TB dark soy sauce
- 2 TB sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- Cut raw chicken breasts into bite sized pieces (as big or as small as you like). Place cubed chicken into gallon sized Ziplock bags and add honey mustard to coat as a marinade. Seal and shake to fully coat. Refrigerate and let marinate over night.
- NEXT DAY : Mix sauce items in a pot and bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Lower heat to keep warm. In a large frying pan, add water and butter and heat to melt butter. Add cubed chicken, cover and sautee until done. Remove chicken, set aside to cool until able to handle. Mix onion ring batter as directed. Heat oil to specified temperature. Dip chicken into sauce, coat with sesame seeds, dip into onion ring batter and deep fry. Use left over sauce for dipping.
