Hot German Potato Salad

  1. Cook potatoes (whole) in plenty of boiling salted water until just tender (15 to 20 minutes).
  2. Drain; let stand a few minutes until cool enough to handle, then peel.
  3. Cut into 1/2 inch thick slices.
  4. Place in a salad bowl.
  5. In skillet, fry bacon until crisp; remove, crumble and add to potatoes.
  6. To fat in skillet, add onions and cook until transparent.
  7. Next, add vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, bouillon cubes and water.
  8. Bring to a boil, while stirring and dissolving bouillon cubes.
  9. Pour with salad oil over potatoes; toss carefully.
  10. Sprinkle with parsley.
  11. It's best to prepare 45 minutes before serving time.
