Barbecued Pork
- Ingredients:
- 2-3 lbs Pork Roast (preferably loin) cut to 1 1/2" X 1" X 3"
- Marinade:
- 1/2 teaspoon 5 spice powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Mirin (Rice Cooking Wine)
- 1/4 Tablespoon Fresh Ginger Root, grated
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 Tablespoon Ketchup
- 3 Tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
- Dash of Red Food Coloring
- Preparation:
- Serves 4
- Mix marinade ingredients together and combine well. Marinate pork roast for 2-3 hours. Place marinated pork on rack over a baking pan. Lining the pan with foil will make the pan easier to clean. Roast at 450 degrees F. for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to to 350 degrees F and roast for 45 minutes or until done. Brush on sauce during roasting.
- Cool and slice into 1/8" thick pieces. Serve with hot Chinese style mustard, ketchup and toasted sesame seeds.
