Ultimate Steak Sandwich
- good quality grilling steaks (not too thick)
- sliced button mushrooms or a mix of mushroom types
- chopped shallots
- couple of tablespoons worth of balsamic vinegar
- soft portugeuse rolls
- mixed greens
- grainy country style dijon mustard
- herbed or pepper goat's cheese
- olive oil
- one clove garlic
- salt and pepper
- season steaks with s&p and grill to taste
- slice rolls in half brush with olive oil and toast
- once toasted rub toasted sides with garlic clove
- spread bottom roll half with grainy dijon mustard
- saute mushrooms in olive oil with shallots
- add balsamic vinegar to mushrooms/shallots
- crumble in goat's cheese
- stir until cheese is melted
- place grilled steak on lettuce (bottom roll half)
- top with warm mushroom and cheese mixture
- top with mixed greens and top roll
