Roasted Calabaza With Spicy Paprika Chicken Legs

  1. Preheat the oven to 475.
  2. Cut the calabaza into wedges.
  3. Clean out all seeds and pulp.
  4. Cut away the peels.
  5. Put the wedges flat on a baking dish.
  6. Drizzle with oil and season with salt and pepper on each side.
  7. Bake for fifteen minutes.
  8. In the meantime, combine hot sauce, honey the juice of half a lime, paprika, salt and pepper.
  9. Dry chicken legs.
  10. Combine sauce with chicken legs and make sure everything is evenly covered.
  11. Lower temperature to 450 degrees.
  12. Put chicken legs in seperate dish, sprinkling additional paprika, and place in the oven.
  13. After fifteen minutes, test calabaza. If soft, remove.
  14. Probe chicken with thermometer to check if 160 degrees.
  15. If not crispy enough, broil for five minutes.
  16. Remove chicken and plate.
