Deliciously Juicy Japanese Meatballs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup or 1/4 cup Pickle Juice
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp. all purpose Flour
- 1 lb Hamburg
- 1 egg
- 1/2 Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 Green Pepper finely chopped
- 3/4 cup of non salted soda crackers
- *Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Celsius
- 1. In a medium sized pot, bring to boil the brown sugar, ketchup, pickle juice, soy sauce, and flour.
- 2. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened.
- While sauce is thickening,
- 3. Mix together hamburg, egg, onion, green pepper and crackers.
- Form into medium sized balls.
- 4. Place in casserole dish, and cook in oven until browned.
- 5. Pour sauce over meatballs, and cook again until done.
