The Sentinelspciy Turkey Meatloaf With Lemon & Sesame
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion finely diced
- 1/4 c. cream
- zest of 3 lemons, juice of two
- 1/4 c. tahini
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp each minced parsley and minced cilantro
- 1 c panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp za'atar
- 1 1/2 lb ground turkey mix of light and dark meat
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp sambal oelek or similar chili paste
- salt and pepper to tatse
- Preheat oven to 350
- Saute onions in the butter until soft. Remove from heat; set aside to cool.
- In a large bowl mix cream, lemon products, tahini, tomato paste, parsley, cilantro and bread crumbs until well combined.
- Add cooked onion, za'atar, turkey, eggs, chili past (salt & pepper). Mix well with your hands.
- Put meat loaf into ungreased 5x9 loaf pan for 5- - 60 minutes or until firm to touch. Thermometer should read at least 150. Let cool, slice and serve.
