Sausage And Penne Pasta
- Sauce
- 1/3 cup grape seed or olive oil
- 8 garlic cloves
- 1 cup white or red wine
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 pinches of salt
- 2 pinches of sugar
- 2 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 # Penne Pasta
- 1# Sausage
- 1 8 oz bag shredded mozzarella
- To make Sauce:
- Heat oil and saute garlic until it colors. Add wine and cook until at least half has evaporated. Add pepper flakes, salt, sugar and tomatoes. Simmer 30 minutes or more.
- Cook penne pasta. Cook sausage.
- When pasta and sausage are cooked, add most of the sauce and all of the the pasta and sausage into into a 9x13 pan and mix together. Then add 1/2 of the mozzarella, mix, and then add the rest of the sauce and top with remaining mozzarella.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes.
