Meatballs In Red Wine Sauce
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/8 tsp. oregano
- 3/4 tsp. curry powder
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. flour
- 2 cloves garlic, diced
- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 c. red table wine
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. beef consomme
- Mix together first 10 ingredients plus 1 clove garlic; form into 1/2-inch balls.
- Roll lightly in flour.
- Place salad oil and remaining garlic in large skillet; add meatballs and brown on all sides.
