Golden Sausage Casserole

  1. Brown sausage in skillet; drain.
  2. Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter until golden.
  3. Add cabbage and water.
  4. Cover and cook for 7 to 8 minutes; drain.
  5. Core and chop 1 apple.
  6. Combine with sausage and cabbage.
  7. Turn into 1-quart casserole.
  8. Core and slice remaining apple and arrange over casserole.
  9. Combine brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, pepper and 1 tablespoon melted butter and pour over casserole.
  10. Bake covered at 375u0b0 for 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
