Turkey Tourtiere
- pie crust w/ top (home made or store bought)
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tin cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 soup tin of water
- 2 beef bullion cubes
- 1/2 cup panko or bread crumbs
- 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 6 large mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp sage
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1. Preheat oven to 425F
- 2. In a sauce pan, brown ground meat over medium heat until no pink remaining, about 5m.
- 3. Add in onion, mushroom, and celery and saute for 2m.
- 4. Add remaining ingredients, and stir until well combined.
- 5. Simmer for 15m, or until mixture is soupy but no longer runny.
- 6. Spoon mixture into a prepared pie crust, add crust top, and prick with fork to ventilate.
- 7. Cook at 425F for 10m, and then reduce heat to 375F and cook for another 30m.
- 8. Remove from heat and allow pie to sit for 15-30m before serving.
