Pumpkin Oatmeal
- 1/2cup pumpkin puree
- 2 cups of oats
- 1.5 to 2 cups of milk or water
- 1/4cup brown sugar
- 1tbsp. butter
- 1/4tsp. salt
- 1tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4cup raisins (optional)
- Pecans or Walnuts (optional)
- Heat up the milk or water to a simmer, toss in a pinch of salt. Add the
- pumpkin puree,butter, sugar, and spices then mix. Then add the oats and cook for about 8min. or until desired consistency (adjust milk/oats to your liking). Add the Raisins and nuts 1-2min. before done cooking
- (this allows the raisins to reconstitute a bit, and release any oils in the nuts for flavor). After it's done cooking; dish up, add a pat of butter on top (or a bit of cream) and any more spices/brown sugar to taste.
