White Bean Chili
- Brown and drain 1 lb. grnd beef 1 lb. grd turkey
- Saute 3 chopped bell peppers (green,orange,yellow)
- 2 chopped onions
- 4 chopped cloves garlic
- Add 2 cans chicken or vegetable broth (14.5oz)
- 1 can black eyed peas 15 oz
- 1 can garbanzo beans 15oz
- 1 can navy beans 15oz
- 4 oz can chopped green chilies
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 3 tsp ground cumin
- 3 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- Cook 8-10 hours in slow cooker (low heat) or cooktop about 1.5 hrs simmering on low.
- 1/2 cup boiling water stir in 2 tsp corn starch to thicken.
- Optional Add 3-4oz velvet cheese to thicken the chili.
