Borscht
- 12 Young beets - chopped thin strips with 6 chopped leaves
- 1 cup Green beans
- 1 Yellow onion (large)
- 5 Potatoes (cubed)
- 1/4 cup Parsley leaves
- 3 cups Red cabbage (shredded) small head
- 3 cups Swiss chard (shredded) small bunch
- 1 can Tomato soup
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Dill, sea salt, fresh ground pickling spice (to taste)
- 1/2 cup Add cream at last to taste, tomato juice
- 10 cups Water (5 times everything)
- 2 cups Spinach
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- Cover beets with water, add lemon juice, salt and spices. Simmer 1/2 hour. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer until tender. Pour cream at last before serving.
