Oyster Casserole - Granny'S
- 1 quart(32 oz) oysters, drained
- 3 Slices of regular bacon, cooked/chopped
- 1 cup grated cheese
- 1 sleeve Ritz Crackers,crushed
- 1 stick of butter (1/4 cup)
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 celery, chopped
- 1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven 325 bake
- use a long casserole dish(so not to overcook the oysters)
- Grease the casserole dish with part of the butter
- Put layers of crackers, oysters,cheese, repeat. The last layer is the cheese,topped with the crackers- BEFORE ADDING THE LAST CHEESE LAYER
- mix the beaten eggs, Milk, Worcestershire, celery, bacon and salt/pepper. Pour over casserole then top with the cheese and crackers(add more or less crackers as needed to cover) dot with rest of butter
- Bake at 325 for 30 minutes
