Teriyaki Burgers W/ Wasabi Mayo
- Wasabi Mayo:
- 1 c Mayo
- 1-2 t prepared Wasabi
- 1/4 t each fresh lime, lemon and orange zest
- 1 t each fresh lime and orange juice
- pinch Kosher salt
- BURGERS:
- Whisk together:
- 1/2 T minced, fresh ginger
- 1/2 T minced, fresh garlic
- 1/4 t minced kafir - lime leaf
- 2 T Soy
- 1 T Honey
- 1 T Asian Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1 T Sesame Oil
- 1/2 t onion powder
- Add to:
- 1.5# Ground Beef
- Better Quality Burger Rolls/Buns
- 1-2 T olive oil
- Place Wasabi mayo ingredients in medium bowl; stir thoroughly. Adjust seasoning to your personal taste. Cover and refrigerate while preparing burgers.
- Whisk together Teriyaki Sauce ingredients and pour over Ground Beef. Mix gently and form into 4-5 patties 1/2" thick.
- Grill on BBQ, stovetop or George Forman-type Grill for 3-4 minutes per side, until MR. Remove to a plate, cover and let rest 5 minutes.
- Brush inside of buns with olive oil and place on grill 'til golden brown and toasty.
- Brush each side with the Wasabi Mayo and fill with a burger. Serve immediately to the oooh's and aaah's of your guests.
