Four Cheese Pasta With Mushrooms And Sausage
- One 5 oz. package Farmhouse(R) Four Cheese Pasta
- 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped
- 1-1/2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 8 oz. smoked sausage, sliced
- 1-1/4 cups warm water
- 3/4 cup milk
- In medium sauce pan, melt butter or margarine. Add red bell pepper and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Add sausage and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add water, milk, pasta and contents of seasoning packet. Heat to a boil, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat and low-boil uncovered 12 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender.
- Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Sauce will thicken as it stands.
