Nick'S Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 C bread flour
- 1 tsp salt, finely ground
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 C bakers sugar
- 1 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tblspn milk
- 1 1/4 C milk chocolate chips
- 1 C chopped pecans
- 1. Melt butter in heavy-bottomed medium saucepan over low heat until just barely melted.
- 2. Sift together flour, salt, and baking soda then set aside.
- 3. Cream butter and sugars on medium speed then egg, milk, and vanilla until well combined.
- 4. Slowly add flour mix until fully combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- 5. Chill dough for about two hours.
- 6. Scoop on parchment lined baking sheets. Cook at 375 for 11 minutes.
- For a fancy schmancy alternative, use expensive dark chocolate, add about 1/2 tsp black pepper, and top with crushed sea salt.
