California White Sangria
- 3 bottles (750ml) Pinot Grigio
- 8 oz. Apple Pucker (or Calvados)
- 8 oz. Triple Sec (or Cointreau)
- 4 oz. Brandy
- 24 oz. 100% Juice Mix (orange/tangerine/apple/pear or similar)
- 6 oz. Lime Juice
- 7-up (to suit, but a 2-litre bottle will work)
- 2 Fuji apples (thin-sliced .. 1/4")
- 2 large orange (circle-sliced & cut away rind)
- 1 pear (thin sliced .. 1/4")
- Step 1:
- In a large pitcher, mix the Juice Mix, Apple Pucker, Triple Sec, Brandy & lime juice. Cover pitcher & put in refrigerator to chill until party time.
- Step 2:
- Just prior to your guest's arrival, slice up the fresh fruit. Set aside 1 of the sliced apples to use as garnish in the cup. Be sure to cut away any white rind pieces on the oranges, as they can bitter your Sangria.
- Step 3:
- Fill a large pitcher half-full with ice. Add 1 bottle of Pinot Grigio. Poor about 1/3 of the Sangria Mix from step 1, into this pitcher with the wine. Top-off with 7-up, add some sliced fruit & stir.
- Serving:
- Poor neat into a lowball glass, tumbler or club glass, and garnish with a slice of apple.
