Bible Cake(Behold There Was A Cake Baken. 1 Kings 19:6)

• 1/2 c. almonds (Genesis 43:11)
• 1 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)
• 1 c. figs (1 Samuel 30:12)
• 2 c. sifted flour, reserve some for fruit
• 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten (Isaiah 10:14)
• 1 1/2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
• 1/2 c. butter (Judges 5:25)
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (1 Kings 10:10)
• 1/2 tsp. mace (1 Kings 10:10)
• 1/2 tsp. cloves (1 Kings 10:10)
• 1/2 tsp. salt (Leviticus 2:13)
• 3 egg yolks (Isaiah 10:14)
• 2 tsp. baking powder (Luke 13:21)
• 1/2 c. water (Genesis 24:11)
• 1 Tbsp. honey (Proverbs 24:13)

1. Grease and flour a 9 1/2-inch tube pan.
2. Chop nuts and fruit fine; flour well with flour from the 2 cups.
3. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry; set aside.
4. In mixing bowl, blend butter, sugar, spices and salt.
5. Beat egg yolks and add.
6. Sift in baking powder and flour; add water and honey.
7. Stir in floured nuts and fruits; beat.
8. Fold into well beaten mixture the egg whites.
9. Pour batter into pan.
10. Bake 30 to 60 minutes at 375u0b0.
