Italian Sausage Empanadas

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown sausage; drain. Stir in 6 tbsp pizza sauce.
  2. Preheat oven to 375.
  3. Separate dough into 20 biscuits.
  4. Roll or press each round into a 4" circle.
  5. Place 1 tbsp meat mixture in center of each circle.
  6. Top each with cheese; press lightly.
  7. Fold dough over filling to form half-circle.
  8. Press edges together; seal and prick top with fork.
  9. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; brush with beaten egg.
  10. Bake 9-14 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Meanwhile, heat remaining pizza sauce in a small saucepan over low heat until hot.
  12. Serve alongside empanadas for dipping.
