Chocolate Butter Crunch Cookies
- 1)2 sticks salted butter
- 2)1 cup dark brown sugar
- 3)1 lb. real chocolate chips
- 4)1 box of saltine crackers
- 5)2 to 3 cups chopped walnuts, almonds or pistacio nuts
- 6)Butter spray
- 1.Line a Jelly Roll Pan with foil.
- 2.spray the foil with butter spray.
- 3.Line the foil with the salitines, covering the entire surface.
- 4.Melt butter and add dark brown sugar. Cook until bubbly
- 5. Pour the mixture over the saltines, carefully spread over saltines and bake for 12 minutes.
- 6. Remove from oven and while very hot sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. Allow to melt and then spread smoothly.
- 7.Sprinkle the chopped nuts over the melted chocolate and gently press.
- 8. Allow to cool completely until chocolate is firm. You can refrigerate until firm.
- 9.Invert the jelly roll on a cutting board, remove foil, turn it over again so that the chocolate side is up and cut into 2 inch by 2inch squares.
