Un-Mexican Haystacks
- 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 3 Tbsp. mayo
- 8 green onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 dash Tabasco sauce
- 2 c. ham, shredded in processor or diced fine with electric knife
- 2 c. ham, shredded
- 12 medium flour tortillas
- 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
- In large mixing bowl or food processor, combine cream cheese, mayo, onions, green pepper, Worcestershire, garlic powder, Tabasco and salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix well.
- Stir in ham.
- Place a tortilla on a large round plate.
- Spread a thin layer of ham mixture over tortilla.
- Repeat layers, ending with ham mixture on top of entire stack.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts or chopped parsley on top layer of stack.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Cut into wedges/small cubes.
- Serve with a decorative toothpick inserted in each piece.
- (Place picks in a row.
- Makes slicing with electric knife easiest.)
