Toasted Sesame Kale Salad
- 3 bunches Fresh Kale
- 1 ounce Toasted sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons Toasted sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 Tomato
- 2 1/2 ounces Feta or Goat Cheese
- Cut off 1/2" to 1" form the base of the kale stems
- Coarsely chop the kale bunches into half inch pieces
- Wash kale well and drain
- Combine and toss the chopped kale, sesame oil, sesame seeds, salt, and pepper in a large bowl
- Heat a skillet or pan to a high temperature
- Add to pan enough kale to cover surface
- Allow the kale to char slightly then turn and burn again
- Return charred kale to bowl
- Chop tomato into small squares and add to bowl
- Chop avacado into small squares and add to bowl
- Gently toss salad being careful not to crush tomato and avacado
- Serve warm or cold. Garnish with quartered beet if you dare.
