Chili
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Onion, red preferably
- 1 Bell pepper, green
- 1 Bell pepper, red
- 1 Jalapeno
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
- 1 tablespoon Chipotle Chili Powder
- 2 tablespoons Cumin
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 2 Bay leaves
- 3/4 tablespoon Salt
- 28 ounces Crushed or Diced tomatoes
- 6 ounces Tomato Paste
- 15 ounces Kidney beans
- 15 ounces Pinto beans
- 1 cube Beef boullion
- 2 cups Water
- 2 cans Beer
- Saute onion, peppers, jalapeno, garlic in olive oil for 1-2 minutes
- Add turkey and beef and and salt and saute until browned
- Add all spices (except bay leaves) and saute 2 minutes
- Add tomatoes, tomato paste, beans, water, beer, boullion and bay leaves and bring to a boil
- Turn heat down to a simmer. Simmer 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Add additional water as needed for desired thickness
