Top Raman Noodle Cabbage Salad
- 1 napa medium cabbage, sliced fine
- or 2 packages of cole slaw mix
- 1 bunch green onions, sliced thinly, greens included
- Combine cabbage and onions, setting aside in a container and 'fridge the night before.
- Also:
- Either the night before or a couple of hours prior to assembly, mix below ingredients for the dressing.
- Dressing:
- 1 C salad oil + 2 Tbs. roasted sesame oil
- (decrease salad oil by 2Tbs. if using sesame oil)
- 1 C sugar
- 2 Tbls soy sauce
- 1/2 C vinegar (if using seasoned rice vinegar, lessen the regular sugar)
- The next day:
- 2 pkgs. - any flavor ramen noodles (crushed & broken up - discard flavor packet)
- 1 pkg slivered almonds (2 1/2 oz)
- 3 Tbls sesame seeds, toasted
- Lightly toast noodles, almonds and sesame seeds on a cookie sheet in oven (400 degrees) for about 12 minutes or so. Stir at 5 minutes into browning.
- Toss all together ingredients just before serving.
