Chocolate Cake
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 c. oil
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 stick margarine
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 1 c. chopped black walnuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 box powdered sugar
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and flour.
- In a heavy saucepan, combine the margarine, water and cocoa.
- Stir and heat to boiling.
- Pour boiling mixture over the flour and sugar. Add the oil, sour cream, eggs, baking soda and vanilla.
- Mix well, then pour into a greased 11 x 16-inch jelly-roll pan.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 20 minutes or until it tests done with a toothpick. While cake is baking, prepare the frosting.
