Turkey Meatloaf
- 3/4 c bread crumbs
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 stalks of celery
- 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 c egg beaters
- 1 c tomato sauce
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- Kosher salt and pepper to taste
- 1 T brown sugar
- Heat oven to 375. If possible use a convection oven. Mix turkey, vegetables, egg beater, 3/4 c of tomato sauce dry mustard, brown sugar, salt & pepper.
- Use a fork to mix the ingredients. The mixture is much lighter than using your hands.
- Place aluminum foil on a baking sheet. Form mixture into an oval about 2-3 inches thick and place in the oven onto the baking sheet. Brush with half of the remaining tomato sauce and baste remaining tomato sauce as necessary.
- Using convection oven, the meatloaf will take approximately 40 minutes or until it reaches 160 degrees.
