Hamburger Dumpling Casserole
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 1 1/2 tsp. onion soup mix
- 1 slice diced bread
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 can mushrooms and liquid
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can water
- 1 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. poppyseed
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp. dried onion flakes
- 1 c. browned bread crumbs
- Mix the ground beef, egg, sour cream, onion soup mix and diced bread and shape into small meatballs.
- Roll the meatballs in the flour and paprika.
- Mix and brown in butter.
- Mix the mushrooms, liquid, cream of chicken soup and water and pour over meatballs and simmer while making dumplings.
