Seared Tuna Tataki With Ginger Soy Mascarpone

  1. Mix the soy sauce and the honey in a 2 to 1 ratio. Using more soy sauce. Then add a bit of sesame oil. Slice the tuna loin into steaks and put into a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the top and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Put the mascarpone into a mixing bowl and add some heavy cream, soy sauce, and powdered ginger. Whisk slowly (be careful not to over mix)
  3. Heat a nonstick pan on the stove and coat with sesame oil. Sear the tune on high heat for 40 seconds per side (or cook to taste.
  4. Place the cold seaweed salad on the plate. Lay Tuna on top and pipe ginger mascarpone onto the top. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
