Quiche With Bacon
- 2 T. butter
- 1 1/2 C. shredded cheese, (Swiss, cheddar, Mozzarella,or Mexican blend)
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 C. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dried basil
- 1 lb. bacon, or (2 C. ham, chopped)
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach thawed (well drained, squeeze in paper towels), optional
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut bacon into halves.
- Fry bacon and crumble (or ham)
- Fry onion, and bell peppers in butter.
- Beat eggs and add all ingredients
- Place in quiche dish.
- Add spinach if desired.
- Cover with cheeses. Bake 350 degrees 50-60 min. until toothpick comes out clean. Let sit 10 min. before cutting.
