Improve Store-Bought Alfredo Sauce
- 1 jar Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup Liquid (use EITHER: (a) milk, cream or dairy alternative OR (b) chicken stock or broth)
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded (finely, if possible)
- 1 tablespoon Minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon Crushed Red Pepper
- 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- Warm a large, non-stick skillet over medium-low heat with the minced garlic and any seasonings until you can start to smell and/or hear the garlic cooking
- Add the jar sauce and stir
- Gradually add cheese, a little at a time, stirring constantly until cheese is melted into the sauce.
- If added cheese is making the sauce too thick or sticky, gradually add the liquid, a little at a time, stirring constantly, until you're back to the desired consistency.
- Taste and/or smell sauce to add additional seasoning if necessary.
- After the sauce is warmed and well-mixed together, then you can add any add-ins.
