Polenta, Sausage And Tomato Layers

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Butter 2 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  3. Cook polenta, then stir in 1/4 parmesan cheese. Stir well then scrape the polenta into casserole dish.
  4. Heat the oil in a medium skillet, and saute the sausage over medium heat, breaking the pieces up with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat.
  5. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the remaining Parmesan over the polenta. Add the sausage, using a slotted spoon, in an even layer. Then spoon on the pasta sauce. Spring with remaining 2 tablespoons parmesan, and top with the
  6. mozzarella in an even layer.
  7. Bake until bubbling, 30 minutes, then let it stand 10 minutes.
