Canterbury Beef And Potatoes

  1. In large stockpot, melt butter over low heat.
  2. Cut onion, peel garlic and add to chopper--finely mince.
  3. Add onion and garlic to stockpot, stir into butter and cook for about 3 minutes.
  4. Cut potatoes into cubes. Add to pot and stir well.
  5. Add water and stir well.
  6. Add pepper and salt to taste.
  7. Place 3 sprigs of rosemary to top of mixture.
  8. Cover pot and cook for about 45 minutes at a simmer.
  9. Add green beans and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  10. Serve in a bowl. Cover with breadcrumbs.
  11. Goes well with Cheesy Baguette.
